Welcome to the family!

Welcome to Ann's Roots Family!

Our journey began with a deep-rooted love for preserving a cherished family tradition. Known for our gatherings around comforting meals, the past two years of the pandemic prompted a shift in the foods we share and enjoy as a family.

Embracing a new perspective on food and reconnecting with our heritage, we turned to our farming legacy. Generations of farmers and growers inspired us to cultivate our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs, enriching our nourishment and reviving a lost tradition for the next generation.

Venturing into indoor farming introduced us to a sustainable, year-round method of growing fresh produce, shielding us from the harsh St. Louis winters. Starting with lettuce, herbs, and small vegetables through hydroponic systems, our family savored the freshness amid societal uncertainties.

Driven by my husband's innovative spirit, we explored growing a variety of vegetables indoors. After research and experimentation, we added microgreens to our harvest, enhancing our family gatherings and festive meals.

Witnessing the joy our loved ones found in our microgreens and our passion for indoor farming, we embarked on a mission to promote a healthier community through Ann's Roots. Thus, the delightful world of microgreens blossomed.

In honor of Mrs. Vickie Ann, our beloved green thumb, who left us too soon, we dedicate this mission. Her legacy of helping others, cherishing family, and serving the community continues to inspire us.
